Esmeralda ‘Essy’ Castaneda
Essy joins the Compass to Care Team with over 5 years of patient facing care in the nonprofit, federal qualifying health centers, and hospital setting. Throughout her career, Essy has worked alongside various organizations to improve the wellness of disadvantaged communities and people experiencing medical barriers. Working as a Health Advocate and Case Manager at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and American Cancer Society, she has guided and empowered adults with chronic medical illness and helping people during cancer treatment.
Essy holds her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Northeastern Illinois University. She is excited to join Compass to Care and continue the work of growing and developing programs to save lives and guide those in need.
She is excited for what the next ten years will bring to Compass to Care.
