Compass to Care’s Board of Directors is seeking dedicated leaders who are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of children with cancer. If you meet the board requirements and are interested in joining our mission, please complete the application below.

Board Member Requirements

As an active members of the Compass to Care Board of Directors, you will agree to:

  • Provide financial and strategic oversight, ensuring accountability.
  • Engage in ongoing strategic planning efforts.
  • Attend quarterly board meetings (in person or virtually).
  • Participate in the annual half-day strategy session (in person).
  • Serve on a subcommittee or lead a major fundraising event.
  • Support one or both major fundraising events by sponsoring a table and/or inviting guests to the Gala (Chicago, IL) and/or Breakfast Benefit (Dubuque, IA).
  • Actively participate in fundraising initiatives.
  • Advocate for the organization’s mission.
  • Recommend or nominate potential board members.
  • Prioritize Compass to Care as one of your top three charitable commitments.
  • Meet an annual Give or Get goal of $5,000.
  • Commit to serving a three-year term.
  • Agree to complete a background check.
