Studio B Gallery Celebrates 10 Years & Supports Our Kids

Ten years ago Bridget and Tad Verdun purchased the historic Decker Electric building at 114 N. Elm Street in Three Oaks, Michigan and opened their art gallery, Studio b. The nine-month project to get the building ready for business, which coincided with the couple’s first pregnancy, included a complete exterior overhaul and a gut rehab of the storefront retail space. This beautiful gallery has kept Bridget and Tad’s families busy, while also bringing amazing art to those who wander into the Three Oaks community.

Reaching the ten year milestone was certainly a reason to celebrate!  So why include Compass to Care?

Just over 20 years ago Bridget’s sister, Elizabeth Durkin beat stage 4 Hodgkin’s Disease. At the time their mom was a self employed single parent. Bridget commented, “We didn’t have much but we had each other & a cure!”

As she and Tad prepared to celebrate their Studio’s anniversary, they decided ti was a perfect opportunity to honor Beth while also raising money to support Compass to Care’s children.

With many new friends, artists whose names they have made known, and a whole lot of love, Studio b. celebrated its ten year anniversary with style and with a purpose. Guests generously donated over $1600 to help our children on their cancer journeys. THANK YOU!!!

Thank you to Mark VanderVinne, Nancy Pirri, and all of the Studio b. house artists who donated items for the silent auction.
Thank you to Sweet William, Pleasant House, Journeyman Distillery & Round Barn for sponsoring the bites and beverages.

And a very special thank you to Bridget and Tad for including Compass to Care in this special evening in their amazing gallery.

Studio b. is closed for the winter.  It will reopen in April 2015.  It is a must on your to do list!
